My First Impressions of Hanoi, Vietnam – $30 Memorable Hotel 🇻🇳

Welcome to my Vietnam adventure! In this vlog, I take you along as I land at Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport and navigate my way to the heart of the city. From booking a Grab ride to experiencing the bustling streets of Hanoi for the first time, this journey is full of first impressions and travel tips.

The first thing to do when arriving in a new country is to get money exchanged. In Vietnam there are many ways to exchange money, but only a couple of them are guaranteed to be reliable and fair. Jewelry shops usually give the best rates without giving you a hard time about slightly damaged bills. Airports, hotels and sometimes banks are also good options but with hotels and banks, rates can be lower, and fees may apply.

The second thing is to get a sim card. That is very important if you do not have any means of connection. Sim cards are usually cheap, and plans are designed to cater for tourists no matter how long you’re staying. Always look up the most reliable companies in the country before you make your decision. And that is what I did.

Then I stepped outside and dodged all the Taxi drivers trying to take me to my hotel. When I arrive in a new country, especially in Asia, I prefer using services like Grab. Since I still do not have a feel of the situation and the people, I prefer a trusted platform. I always say, Grab is the best option. it is fairly cheap, safe and reliable wherever you are in Vietnam. So, I booked the grab and was on my way to my hotel in minutes.

The streets of Vietnam are something to behold. Beautiful chaos, noises, smells. It is what I like. Arriving at Old Quarter, I started to get a feel of what to expect. Narrow streets, motor bikes and tourists all over the place. I started noticing the street vendors and the smells of food.

Arriving at the hotel, I met Kelly. In my coming videos, my relationship with Kelly progresses and she helps me with everything I ever needed even after I left her hotel. I am glad to now say that I made a close friend in Vietnam. Also, her colleague, Justin, was very helpful and nice. The hotel was cheap, the room was amazing and very comfortable. Amazing value for the price. The location could not be better. I had an amazing stay at the Bella Rosa Hotel and Spa.
