In today’s episode, I check out the best budget hotel in Vietnam (Ben Thanh area) and the historic Ben Thanh market itself. Walking here in Ho Chi Minh City isn’t for the faint of heart, with motorcycles at every turn. I go for a little walkabout around these Vietnamese streets and partake in a bit of nosy neighbour behavior.

Would you like a “Manbag”, I’m not French?
I visited Hanoi for a few days last year (old quarter), it was ok but i wouldn’t be in a hurry to go back tbh. I didn’t like that we were forced to walk in the road amongst the traffic in many places due to stuff blocking the pavements. Also i had only just walked out of our hotel and my first interaction with a Vietnamese was a scam, a guy walked up to me and told me that my sandal was broken (i knew it wasn’t as i had only bought them the week before) and he wanted to squirt some super glue on them and then a hefty fee would have been asked for ‘fixing’ my sandals. I told him to ‘f*** off’ which he seemed to understand and hastily left me alone.
bit stressful James… but good luck with it!
Vietnam is looking good, need to pay a visit thanks James
I was waiting to see if you did the “walk with me” shower capacity nod and you did lol. That hotel looked better than the other one
