Tucked away in a quiet side street of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, I stayed one night at the Hanoi Old Quarter Central Hotel, also listed as Carina Hotel. For just 455,000 VND, I got a spacious room on the 6th floor — no lift, so climbing up is a challenge if you have heavy luggage, but it worked as a free workout for me. The air conditioning worked perfectly, they provided two bottles of water, and the bathroom was surprisingly large with a proper walk-in cabin shower, something rare in this price range. The bed was comfortable, making it good enough for a short stay. Not luxurious, but for the price and location, it was worth it.
